Have you guys seen that Shit Yogis Say video? It cracks me up. When the girl finally drank the icky green liquid she was describing so enthusiastically - I was dying at the faces she was making. HILARIOUS. And, oddly, makes me want to do some yoga.I watched it like 10 more times than was appropriate though, because her hair is so rad. I'm growing mine out and this is total inspiration. It's about the same color and texture, so I think I stand an honest to god chance of looking like this pic above at some point in... oh, about 3 years.
Why is it, though, that the pictures of long hair that inspire me the most are the ones where the ladies have their hair up?? Pony tails, braids and - my fave - the high bun, all leave me salivating and measuring my baby hairs. This picture below from BlueBirdsFlyBotique is another favorite inspirational photo.
I can't wait! Minus the dreaded dreadlocks I had for all of 3 months, I haven't had "long hair" since 2007. And even then, it only ever barely touched my chin. It hasn't been long long since I was 7 years old. Here are a few shots from when I last had it a reasonably considerable length:
That seems so far away! I'm going to need some nearer term inspirational photos soon, I'm sure, because right now my hair just feels awkward and a little ridiculous.
*Thankfully* I am overcompensating with wardrobe. It's nothing fancy, but I'm sure digging the current rags. I've received feedback all over the map - some girls calling me a fashionista, some saying I've fallen into a rut lined with stretchy pants (true) and basically everyone saying I look so Seattle, which I can't tell if that's a compliment or an insult. *Shrug*
I work out in Wunder Unders all the time. Love them for the gym! But then I saw this 30 Day Wunder Under Challenge and, upon admiring all the cute outfits, realized I'd been selling my stretchy pants a little short! It was time to take them on the town.
Pair them with Toms or Uggs, a hoodie and lots of layered accessories, and I'm one happy little hen! Oh, and the blue neff beanie I got in Boston, which I can't seem to pry off my happy little head. Last week (before I got snowed in) I think I wore stretchy pants three days in a row...
It was bliss. I didn't even want to take them off to wash them. I'm going to keep this up until somebody provides me with something comfier. Perhaps by my 30th birthday (when I envision my hair will be in a messy bun all its own), I will have found another favorite "uniform" to occupy my closet. But for now, I'm loving the idea of stretchy pants, over the knee socks, comfy boots and long, long hair.
What clothes do YOU wear day in and day out but never get sick of??
Cheers,
Karla

Ha ha! I love it! When I was growing out my hair I was thinking the same thing...couldn't wait till it was long enough to put up! Hee hee! I think you'd look adorable with high messy buns! I am loving the uniform! You work so hard on your body...you look great in stretchy pants! I love your look, always have and always will! I'm into dresses this week. I have phases that manically switch depending on the phase of the moon and whatever whim has popped into my head. Weird, right! Hearts, Janna Lynn
So funny that you want to grow your hair again because I'm there with you. The only problem I'm having is that my hair has really, REALLY REALLY REALLY thinned out. I mean, I'm considering taking prenatal vitamins. LOL
And even though I know this is the "wrong" way to go about it, I'm also tempted to just keep letting it grow without cutting it at all for as long as possible. Remember when I pulled a YOU and "shaved" (1" guard) my head back in... *checks FB for a reference* November 4. So that means the last time a blade of any kind touched my head was 74 days a go. Of course I have colored my hair super red (and don't plan on giving that up) so who knows how that will affect anything, but I'm kind of thinking of remaining "bladeless" as long as possible.... SOLIDARITY
