Friday Fun Day

1. What time did you get up this morning?
Per usual - 4:45AM, but then I realize I had a beasty cold and went back to bed until the luxurious hour of, oh, SIX am.

2. How do you like your steak?
Fake and from a dirty Chinese restaurant. (In my pre-vegan days, rare and with a side of red.)

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
I had free passes to see that “I don’t know how she does it” movie, which is basically about a woman killing herself and her family to check off her to do list. My BFF and I were the only ones laughing in the entire theater… like, hysterically. Apparently none of those other hacks have ever crumpled into tears over unfolded laundry or showing up to a bake sale with a store bought pie. o_0

4. What is your favourite TV show?

Real Housewives. Or any reality show in which there’s a good chance that one spoiled brat may throw a dining room table at another spoiled brat.

5. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I’d live in a big converted warehouse in Georgetown – across from the tattoo shop and the vegan pub. I’d have a huuuuge, open space with poured concrete floors, a lofted bedroom, a ton of walls and good lighting for art and a roof deck up top.

6. What did you have for breakfast?

Peanut butter soy milk shake and blueberries.

7. What is your favorite cuisine?
Mexican! Specifically, vegan punk rock Mexican. Nothing like fake chicken tacos and metal on the jute.

8. What foods do you dislike?
uhhh…………………… does not compute.

9. Favorite Place to Eat?
In bed. Something horrendous like a corn dog with mayo. Preferably after a night of drinking. Those meals definitely taste the best.

10. Favorite dressing?
Balsamic vinegar, straight. I could DRINK that shit.

11. What kind of vehicle do you drive?

No joke.

12. What are your favorite clothes?
Holy hell do you even have to ask?? STRETCHY PANTS! Stretchy pants for days. Weeks. Months. YEARS!!

Look at Alba over here, could she be any MORE relaxed?!

13. Where would you visit if you had the chance?

Venice. Before it sinks.

14. Cup 1/2 empty or 1/2 full?

Half full but I’m ordering another round as a back up.

15. Where would you want to retire?
A yurt in Montana. With goats, chickens and my sewing machine.

Post-gym, pre-everything else.

22. Bird watcher?
Bird LISTENer. There’s nothing sweeter than sun pouring over the cascades onto my bedspread in the morning and birds singing it’s praise.

23. Are you a morning person or a night person?
I rapidly cycle between the two. Sometimes on the same day, which gets problematic.

26. What did you want to be when you were little?
For the longest time, I wanted to be a veterinarian. But then a friend who worked at the zoo let me watch a surgery on an aardvark and I realized how gross animal insides are. The truth was, I really just wanted to be a dog…

27. What is your best childhood memory?
Laying on my dad’s stomach – his prickly beard combing my hair – riding his breath; uuuup when he breathed in, dooooown when he breathed out. Nothing was safer in the world.

Most definitely. I floss too.

31. Been in a car accident?
Lots, actually. Only one that was my fault, and many that weren’t. I guess I just have bad luck??

32. Any pet peeves?
The words “tats” and “gages”. People who don’t say “thank you”. Capitalization errors (specifically, capitalizing things for no apparent reason). Ironically, people who correct grammar. The list goes on…

33. Favorite Pizza Toppings?
ONIONS! I could eat onions raw. Onions, spinach, fake pepperoni and balsamic vinegar.

34. Favorite Flower?
Lilacs. What could smell better?

35. Favorite ice cream?
Cheap vanilla ice cream covered in Hershey’s chocolate syrup. I haven’t found an acceptable vegan equivalent.

36. Favorite fast food restaurant?
Does Chipotle count? I LOVE Chipotle.

37. How many times did you fail your driver’s test?
Not a one!

38. From whom did you get your last email?
Arsenal store… zappos… the gym… man, I had to dig really far to get one from a human! A friend emailed me a picture of beaker.

39. Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?
Lululemon!! All luon all the time. I should seriously get a weekend job there just for the discount…

40. Do anything spontaneous lately?
Deciding to floss when I get home instead of before bed is about as spontaneous as I get :)

41. Like your job?
I do!

Steamed, covered in chipotle spice with field roast sausage and rice. NOM!

43. What was your favorite vacation?
We went to the Oregon coast a lot when I was young. I remember this one year I spent the entire trip on the beach by myself listening to Third Eye Blind and making hemp necklaces. I’ve been much cooler places since, but I don’t know that I’ve ever felt that relaxed in my adult life.

44. Last person you went out to dinner with?
Out to dinner… uhh…. I had breakfast IN with a bestie, Devon. Does that count? We ate all our foods.

45. What are you listening to right now?
Cloud Cult. On repeat. It’s musical bravery.

46. What is your favorite color?
It changes cooooonstantly. Top contenders are always pink, orange, yellow, white, taupe, purple…

47. How many tattoos do you have?
3 big ones, 2 medium sized ones.
